  History says HG Eldo Mar Basseleos had a memorable contact with our parish. In 1685 he visited Kerala and reached  Kothamangalam, not far from Karingachira. Thamukku perunnal is for the remembrance of his visit.

  Karingachira church is the only Royal Church in Kerala because Cochin Hindu Royal family is believed to be related to this church.

  In 1876 H.H. Moran Mar Iqnatius Patros Patriarch  visited this church

  St. Gregorios (Parumala Thirumeni) is closely related to this Karingachira church. His consecration (as Decon) was held at this church in the Malayalam year 1033. ie 1857 AD.

  Famous historical Malankara association of the Syrian Orthodox Christians were held at this church in 1935

For the first time, Patriarch day celebrations were held at this church in 1974 to enrich the unity of Syrian Orthodox Christians.

  This parish played a prominent role in the history of Koonan Cross Pledge
